Bill is a seasoned IP veteran with two decades of experience in all phases of IP strategy. He currently serves as Executive Vice President, Intellectual Property Strategy and Co-Founder of VideoLabs. Bill is also a licensed attorney. Throughout his legal career, he served as a subject matter IP expert pioneering new and complex monetization structures, developing successful patent licensing programs, creating winning global patent litigation strategies, and designing strategic portfolio development initiatives.
Most recently, Bill was Vice President of Intellectual Property for the Kudelski Group, a world leader in digital security and convergent media solutions in video, pay television, content delivery and security. While at Kudelski Group, he and Joe Chernesky started the IP licensing function for the Group in 2012, and closed patent licensing deals valued in excess of $250M. Prior to joining the Kudelski Group, Bill served in a number of IP leadership roles, including serving as a Licensing Executive at Intellectual Ventures. Bill’s previous experience also includes a 12-year career in a private law firm at DLA Piper, and its predecessor Gray Cary where he represented emerging growth, small, mid and large-cap technology clients. While a partner at DLA Piper from 2005 to 2010, Bill’s practice focused on patent litigation matters.
Bill is a registered patent attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and an active member of the California Bar. He frequently speaks on IP issues at LES and other IP specialist conferences and vigorously supports programs promoting leadership and development opportunities for young IP professionals.
Joe has more than 30 years of leadership, general management and P&L experience at Fortune 100 technology companies, private equity, innovative start-ups, and non-for-profit organizations. He launched VideoLabs with the mission of disrupting and improving the current model of innovation and licensing by providing an efficient and equitable platform for innovators to share and license intellectual property.
Prior to VideoLabs, Joe was President of Nagra IP, Inc and Senior Vice President of innovation, intellectual property and corporate development at the Kudelski Group. Before Kudelski, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Licensing Sales at Intellectual Ventures (IV).
Prior to Intellectual Ventures, Joe was Co-founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of IPotential, a leading provider of IP strategy and patent monetization services, and Vice President of Boeing Management Company, where he was responsible for IP policy and strategies. Prior to Boeing, Joe held several management positions at Intel in IP licensing, new product development and corporate treasury.

Eric Cohen is a senior technology executive with extensive experience in IP-focused companies and licensing business models. He has deep expertise in M&A, corporate strategy, strategic partnerships and capital markets. His corporate strategy expertise was developed over the course of 15+ years in leadership positions at Dolby Laboratories and InterDigital.
Eric served as EVP and Chief Strategy and Growth Officer of InterDigital, Inc, a NASDAQ-listed wireless communications and video R&D and licensing company from 2018 to 2023. In that role, he was responsible for Corporate Strategy, M&A, Business Development, and Strategic Intelligence, as well as overseeing the company’s corporate venture capital fund, NexStar Partners.
Eric has extensive experience creating shareholder value through executive, advisory, and Board roles at the intersection of technology, media and intellectual property. He has served on the Board of Directors of DTS, Inc. (now Xperi: XPER) and 7digital Group plc (AIM-listed; recently acquired by Songtradr), and SCADAfence (recently acquired by Honeywell), and on the Strategic Advisory Board of the US subsidiary of Videndum plc. In addition, Eric served as InterDigital’s representative on the boards of two joint ventures with Sony: Chordant, Inc. and Convida Wireless LLC.
Mona Sabet’s career spans over 25 years at the vanguard of the technology industry, steering enterprises from their launch stage to their public offerings. She has a distinct expertise in growing businesses through a combination of relentless focus on scaling business operations, building global partnerships, and driving strategic acquisitions.
She currently serves as Chief Corporate Development and Administration Officer at VulcanForms, an advanced digital manufacturing company. Prior to VulcanForms, Mona served as Chief Corporate Strategy Officer at UserTesting where she secured the first set of technology partnerships for the company, closed a number of acquisitions, led the company’s $100M funding round, and took the company public on the New York Stock Exchange. Mona negotiated UserTesting’s acquisition was valued at $1.3B by Thoma Bravo and subsequent merger with a Thoma Bravo portfolio company.
Mona's leadership extends beyond the C-suite, serving on boards and advisory boards for startups and organizations that support them, including Berkeley SkyDeck, Western Morrissette Entrepreneurship, Harvest Management Partners, Lorica Cybersecurity, and Taiga Robotics. She often advises companies on market identification, global expansion, data and privacy, and acquisition considerations.
Brian is an accomplished senior executive, who brings more than 25 years of industry experience in technology and licensing, including 17 years in Silicon Valley high-tech companies. Additionally, Brian has a strong reputation as an IP thought leader forged from his track record of success as a litigation attorney at Morrison & Foerster.
Brian previously served as CEO and a member of the Management Committee of DivX, LLC, a provider of video technology products and licensable intellectual property. Before his leadership role at DivX, he started, built and led the patent licensing group at Dolby Laboratories where he developed patent licensing opportunities, investigated third-party use of Dolby's patented technologies, and initiated and closed patent licensing engagements.
Prior to Dolby, Brian was the chief patent counsel at Altera, a Silicon Valley chip company, and oversaw patent litigation and licensing at Apple.
Gustav Brismark has been the owner of Kazehara AB since 2019, a firm providing strategic IP management advice, primarily focusing on the emerging 5G industry. Gustav is also regularly retained as an expert witness in high stake international patent litigation disputes. Further, he serves as a board member of Smoltek Nanotech Holdings AB and BeammWave AB.
Prior to setting up Kazehara AB, Gustav worked at Ericsson for over 30 years, a career which culminated in him taking up the role of Chief Intellectual Property Officer (CIPO) over a three-year period before leaving the company in 2019. During his time at Ericsson, Gustav played a central role in turning Ericsson’s IPR & Licensing organization into a world-class operation and an integral part of Ericsson’s global business, with more than 100 revenue-generating license agreements worldwide.
Gustav joined Ericsson in 1986, after receiving his MSc in physics engineering from Uppsala University, Sweden. He is the inventor of 10 patents related to GSM and WCDMA technology.
Peter has been a Managing Director at Sherpa Technology Group since 2017. He is a founder at, and still active with, Intellectual Ventures, a multi-billion-dollar fund that invests in inventions. He also held over 40,000 patents. Intellectual Asset Management Magazine named Peter the second most influential “IP market maker” in the world.
Prior to joining Intellectual Ventures, Peter spent 8 years at Intel Corporation where he was a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. At Intel, Peter was responsible for managing the patent and licensing departments, and the litigation and competition policy departments. Before he joined Intel, Peter was an intellectual property partner at the law firm of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati in Palo Alto, California. Peter was the first patent lawyer hired at this firm and formed the basis of its highly successful intellectual property practice.
Peter received his B.S.E.E. with honors in 1982 from the University of Pennsylvania’s Moore School of Electrical Engineering and a J.D. in 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is also Chairman of the Humane Society Silicon Valley. Peter is an inactive member of the State Bars of California and New York and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
